The story revolves around the life of a young woman named Natsumi, who used to be a "yariman" (a Japanese term for a woman who aggressively pursues romantic relationships). After a series of unfulfilling relationships, Natsumi decides to retire from her "yariman" days and start a new life. She moves back to her hometown and starts working as a part-time teacher at a local high school.

However, her peaceful life is disrupted when her nephew, Taro, starts dating a girl named Yui, who happens to be the niece of Natsumi's former "yariman" rival, the infamous Akane.
