Each floor deeper into the basement reveals more about Isaac’s fractured reality. He discovers items that mutate his body, granting him power at the cost of his humanity. From the dank Cellar to the biological nightmare of the Womb, Isaac’s journey is a loop of death and rebirth, where every "game over" is just another memory in his tragic sketchbook.
Will he find the strength to face his mother, or will he remain lost in the basement forever?
Isaac lived alone with his mother in a small house on a hill. He kept to himself, drawing pictures and playing with his toys while his mother watched Christian broadcasts on the television. Life was simple, until the day Isaac’s mother heard a voice from above.
Now, Isaac must navigate a procedurally generated labyrinth filled with his own personified fears, grotesque monsters, and lost brothers and sisters. Armed only with his own tears—which he fires like projectiles—he battles through rooms overflowing with dark symbolism and macabre treasures.
